Effectiveness of feed reduction in production a lean broiler

      Abstract :

      The purpose of the resarch is to study the feed reduction in increasing secretion of growth hormone so that the metabolic effect can produce low fat and high protein broiler.Samples of 50 broiler, were divided into five treatment groups namely the standard feed group (F1, 5% under standard group (F2), 10% under standard group (F3), 15% under standard group (F4), and 20% under standard group (F5). They were treated for 42 days, then at the end of research they were sacrificed sample were observed on abdominal fat, meat fat and meat protein levels.The results showed that 20% feed reduction caused the lowest decrease in meat fat and abdominal fat levels. The highest protein level occurred in 10% feed reduction under standard. Up to 10% feed reduction under standard the broiler weight was still of economical value for breeder. This finding showed that the feed reduction in 10% under standard would produce broiler with high quality meat.
