Abstract :
The representation of women in Daerah Is timewa Yogyakarta (DIY) province parliament is not automatically followed by the fulfillment of women’s interest. This paper explores what obstacles faced women parliamentary members in DIY province in pursuing their opinions and ideas during parliamentary meetings. The writer find four factors implicated to the obstacles of women parliamentary members. First, the lack of self confidence. Second, the attitude of men parliamentary members, Third, the lack of their understanding about women’s issuse. Fourth, the lack of political education based on women’s need.
